Unplugging the power can cause a sdcard ireversible dammage on all ARM boars

  • Use a good quality power supply without ripples, 5V 3 amps or more.
    • Use a good quality USB cable for power, not 1$, not gas station, search on Amazon a decent one ~10$.
      • A bad USB can cause a SOC ARM board not to boot. I found that the most sensitive are the AllWiner based boards.
        • Never power off by unplugging the power USB form any ARM boards. This can damage the SDcard ireversible
        • From a Desktop environment close it properly from shut-down menu or pane icon
        • From the shell use

        Code: Select all

        sudo shutdown
        • or

        Code: Select all

         sudo telinit 0
        • Wait until no LED activity is seen then unplug the power (about 20 to 30 seconds).
